Represents Equinox Shipping Group at the 27th IMPA Congress 2026
Equinox Shipping Group was proudly represented by Capt. Fandi A.S., M.M., M.Mar., General Manager of PT Equinox Bahari Utama and PT Equinox Sentra Bahari, at the 27th International Maritime Pilots’ Association (IMPA) Congress 2026 in Bali, Indonesia.
Capt. Fandi is also an Indonesian maritime pilot professional and a member of the Indonesian Maritime Pilots’ Association (INAMPA), Indonesia’s professional association for maritime pilots and an affiliated member of IMPA. IMPA represents the international pilotage community and has held consultative status with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) since 1973.
Since 2025, Capt. Fandi has served as Ketua Bidang Event for the Congress, coordinating event planning, technical preparation, cross-division collaboration and services for international delegates as part of the organising committee.
Held at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, Nusa Dua, from 23 to 28 August 2026, the Congress brought together participants from 38 countries, comprising 333 participants—213 delegates and 120 accompanying persons—with the support of 14 exhibitors and 7 sponsors.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, and by Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), together with approximately 580 guests and participants.
The Congress gathered maritime pilots, shipping companies, ship managers, port and terminal representatives, regulators, classification societies, technology providers and industry experts. It provided a platform to exchange knowledge, explore emerging industry trends and deepen connections across the global maritime community.
For Equinox Shipping Group, Capt. Fandi’s involvement reinforced the Group’s visibility within the international maritime community and reflected its commitment to actively support Indonesia’s maritime development. It also provided an opportunity to engage with key industry stakeholders, strengthen professional relationships, gain insight into evolving operational and regulatory expectations, and present Equinox as an Indonesian maritime partner with an active international outlook.
